Praia do Leblon

(2 Ratings)
Family fun

Leblon is popular among families, so you'll typically see lots of moms with strollers enjoying the sun and fun. Go up to the Mirante de Leblon, an overlook above the beach, to take panoramic photos of the city.

It's a nice beach. It's just down the shore from the Ipanema beach which is very loud and gay. This beach is quiet and the water is safer to go in because the water doesn't get deep really fast like Ipanema. Don't know why it is listed in your article about nude beaches because I have never seen any nude people there. I would definitely say go naked at your own risk because you don't want to get on the wrong side of the Policia.

Definitely NOT a nude beach. Leblon is the wealthiest neighborhood in all of Rio and it is very family oriented. Do not go naked there. The only nude beach in the Rio area is Abrico Beach, which is way south in Barra de Tijuca, in a neighborhood called Recreio dos Bandeirantes FYI: It's just Leblon, no "Praia do" needed
